My Daily Make Up Routine

I tend to have the same make-up routine day to day, just because I can quickly do it in the morning before uni without spending too much time on it.

To start, I always prime my face with "Prime it!" Illuminating Face Primer by Technic I love this as it evens out my complexion whilst moisturising my skin and adding a bit of shimmer, which is useful if I don't put on any foundation some days. This 33ml bottle is £4.44 on Amazon, however I managed to pick it up for about £2.50 in a little pop up shop. The bottle may seem small but it has lasted me about 6 months now.

For my foundation, I always use Rimmel's Match Perfection. I have used this foundation, in shade 201 - Classic Beige, for about 2 years now and keep buying it because I cannot fault it. The foundation is SPF 18, it feels light on your skin and lasts all day. It is usually about £6.99, and lasts for about a year of me using it most days.

Next I use Benefit's Brows A-Go-Go, which is by now way cheap. I picked this up in Boots for £27, but it is available on Amazon for £24.50. Eyebrows are a big deal for me and so I hoped that this would be a bit of an investment in making me feel better about myself. I was totally right. Inside, there is a brow shaping wax, two shades of brow shaping powder; one light and one dark, a mini eye-liner, a brow highlighter, a cream eye brightener, mini tweezers and a brush to apply the brow shaping stuff. I have had it for nearly a year now and there is still lots of everything left and I use it daily. I use the light powder as the dark one seems to make my eyebrows look a bit too fake.

For blusher, I don't tend to stick to the same one all the time, I basically just pick up any each time I need to stock up. I tend to go for more neutral shades than brights. Right now I am using Vivo Blush & Highlighter in What's Mine is Mine, which is a bit brighter than I would usually go for. The palette includes a cream blusher, a powder blush and a shimmer blusher. I tend to just use the powder blush and a tiny bit of the shimmer as I find that cream blusher looks too bright on my skin. This was from Tesco and is £5.99.

For my eyes, I usually either go for a smokey eye or simple eyeliner. For everyday smokey eyes, I tend to use a light and dark brown, using Rimmel's Glam Eyes in Orion(£5.99, Amazon), Maybelline Color Tattoo in  On and on Bronze(£4.99, Boots), Dainty Doll 001 or 17 Metallic Toffee (£5.48, Boots) (none of these are pictured). For the simple eyeliner, I swear by Rimmel's Waterproof  Gel Eyeliner in black (which I got as a present and can't seem to find it anywhere but Amazon for £9.50). I am a huge fan of winged liner, even if my own is never perfect!

For mascara, I currently use one of two, basically whichever I grab first out of my bag! I use either Benefit They're Real!, which I got free in a magazine but the normal sized tube is £19.50 in Boots, or I use Rimmel Glam'Eyes Day2Night which is a much nicer price of £7.99 at Boots. Both mascaras give amazing length to my lashes, with the Day2Night having the added bonus of having the secondary cap to add more volume.

Finally, for my lips I near enough always wear lipstick. My favourite brand for lipstick is the Kate Moss Lasting Finish collection for Rimmel, hands down. I own about 5 different shades in it, but my favourite is 01. The colour is a very deep red, which is always my favourite colour for lipstick. The lipstick makes my lips feel moisturised and stays on all day. Whilst it may leave marks on basically anything you touch with your lips (kissing someone is never great in it because they end up wearing it too!) but even after it manages to go on every glass and piece of cutlery that you own, it still looks perfect on your lips, as if nothing has come off it at all, which never fails to amaze me!

I've managed to fine-tune this process to take about 5 minutes, which is great for someone like me who likes to stay in bed for as long as possible in the morning!

   The finished look!
(Excuse my hair, I haven't yet done it!)
